We are officially in full on “wedding planning mode!” It’s been a year a half since we got engaged and I really want to enjoy this stage in my life (and say the word “fiancee” as much as possible!) so right after the holidays we started to pick up the pace…
We wanted to find just the right place to get married and we figured everything else would just fall into place. I have to admit, that thinking was just a little bit off. You have to put some thought into the day or it could easily get out of control. I do believe in the “to each her own” mentality however, early on…. I decided to go with my instinct when it came to all the details. I tend to get caught up in all details when it comes to….pretty much anything…so I decided to focus on the “right” details rather than all the wedding details. I just don’t want to be this girl….

“Steel Magnolias”
Two weeks ago, we began the process of registering. Bobby was “The Scanner” and I was once again…”the details girl.” I have to admit…I think we were both disappointed when Crate & Barrel and Macy’s gave us boring hand-held scanners (rather than the fun scanning gun) to use. So many things to hem and haw over....and one can easily get overwhelmed. After about two hours, we were both exhausted and gave up the scanner and decided to finish up the next weekend.
Fast forward to the next weekend….Target was much cooler…they gave us a real scanning gun! We considered running around the store, playing cops with the scanner and shoot at random stuff but were adults about it…we settled for Bobby in his debonair James Bond pose with the scanner. It’s hard to keep a straight face when we are standing in the middle of Target and I’m trying to have Bobby arch one eyebrow and then another! Why oh why didn’t I have my camera with me?!?!? One of these days...I'm going to catch that face with my camera…in the meantime, life is still for the dogs…
